Listen: Debut Track From Version 4 – “Photograph”

21 Oct

Here at Alphabet Bands, we love finding and sharing new music and it doesn’t get much newer than this. Version 4, a new industrial electronic duo, dropped their first ever full track online today, just a few hours ago in fact, and we have it here for you to check out and enjoy.

The duo, Andy Russell and John Rigby have posted demo’s before but “Photograph” is their first finished track. The seven minute opus starts off all Cinematic Orchestra, with a gentle piano and some light string action before the electronics and drums kick in. The track builds to a crescendo, layering sound upon sound as it goes, including that of an old-school camera flash powering up and a picture being taken (well, it is called “Photograph” after all).

We think this is a pretty fine debut and are looking forward to hearing more, which is good because they have promised another track, “Do It Now” will follow soon.

You can stream “Photograph” below and check out the band on Facebook for more information. Don’t forget to let us know what you think in the comments section.

its quite soundtrack to a movie in places, its different, with the camera clicking, to anything else i’ve heard lately. almost post-modern.
