Listen: Vuvuvultures – “Stay Still”

VVV NSV 1 small

You may or may not recall, but back in December we brought you a live studio session of a new track by Vuvuvultures. The video of “Stay Still” was released as part of the band’s work with the Mark Thomas Taylor Menswear ”IN THIS TOGETHER”, campaign which in turn is associated with MTV Staying Alive Foundation which is helping with the global fight against HIV and AIDS.

The track sounded pretty freaking awesome back in December, and we are delighted to reveal that “Stay Still” is to be the next Vuvuvultures single. Release dates are still to be sorted but below we have the studio version for you stream and be unfeasibly excited by.

Regular readers will know that we do tend to lose it a little where the VVV gang are involved, but with damn good reason. Just take a listen to that throbbing, grooving bassline as it pulsates beneath Harmony’s ever so sexy vocals. Then there’s the futuristic, sci-fi guitar licks and, oh yes, the massive electronic freak-out of an ending.

“Stay Still” has been on repeat for most of the day and is really impacting our ability to write about anything else. We don’t care though; it’s another stunning track from a band that just seems to be getting better and better. Stick it on, turn it up and let the good times roll.

A video for “Stay Still” will be released in the coming weeks, in the meantime the excellent VVV EP (our second favourite EP of 2012 no less) is available digitally and on vinyl, which you can buy here.
