Strangers Sense of Liberty

After a couple of weeks off to prepare for and recover from gigapalooza we’re back to blogging. Those couple of weeks of quiet meant that a few things we wanted to cover got missed but that doesn’t mean we can’t write about them now! So we will.

One such track was the latest release from the Strangers guys which is actually the first of a planned six freebies to be given away (one per month) between now and Christmas. It’s like the 12 days of Christmas, except there are only six of them and instead of ‘lords a leaping’ or ‘maids a milking’, we have ‘tracks a banging’ instead. Much better we’re sure you’ll agree.

“Sense of Liberty” follows recent Strangers release “Something New” into the realms of BIG pop tune, inching the band further into the light from the darkness in which they usually reside. The track is a sped up montage of someone hurtling through the city at night. Neon lights flash by the window of the car as it whips through the busy streets, searching for something, someone, searching for a wide open space to explode into.

With its high and compulsive energy, and somewhat addictive sound, it remains something of a mystery as to why Strangers have not been bothering the charts on a regular basis. If they keep this up, surely it is only a matter of time.

”Sense of Liberty” is available for free download in exchange for your email address. Click here to go get it.
