Time for a change of pace now with something a little bit more rawkus and rocky.
With some jangling, jarring guitar sounds blasting your senses and small dose of Elastica-esque influences, Daisy Victoria is a refreshing breath of cacophonous air. Formally of the Maglia Rose Group, Daisy apparently likes to talk to herself to keep herself sane. Something which, with 13 hours of this charity blogathon left to complete, sounds entirely reasonable to us.
The video for her latest track, “Heart Full Of Beef”, is a neon jungle of intimidating, sinister effects, and a couple of fish. Sonically it is a waking dreamscape of chaotic order. Liberating the senses from the drudgery of everyday life, it softly echoes out a warning to the listener. Like cracked mirrors in a fun house adorned with clowns and other haunting phobias, enticing you to take a challenge and run for cover in its walls of sound.
