Blogathon: Exroyale – “Give It Up (Ra Ra Riot Remix)”

31 Jan

Exroyale

Ok, it’s Friday evening, let’s liven things up a little. Here’s another band who like to live in secret, letting the music speak for itself instead. You know we’re sure it’s not the case with Exroyale, but eventually we’re going to discover one of three things about one of these super secretive bands.

1) They are actually nothing more than a sentient computer programme, a forerunner for Skynet, melting our minds with seemingly harmless and lots of fun music.

2) They are actually a Bachman Tuner Overdrive / Status Quo supergroup trolling us all.

3) They are just really really ugly.

As we say, we doubt any of those is the case for Exroyale but we do know that they ”are all about that action. The music seems plenty capable of doing the speaking for us” and they describe themselves as ”a glow in the dark game of truth or dare”. So actually, 1 & 2 are both in play here.

Anyway, they caused a bit of a stir in certain quarters last year with their debut track, “Give It Up” and have today released a new, fuel injected, near robotic sounding (hang on a minute…) remix of it by Ra Ra Riot.

Regardless of their shadowy existence and possible dark ulterior motives for secrecy, Exroyale and Ra Ra Riot should help put a little spark into your Friday. Fire it up as you get ready to go out, have a great time, have a few drinks (but be responsible) then come home and pile all your lose change into our JustGiving page to help spur us on through the small hours.

We’ve even posted the original for you to enjoy as well. See how nice we are? Now, about that donation…
