Monogem – “Sillhouette”

4 Feb

Monogem

T’was just a couple of weeks ago when we talked about Monogem and mentioned there was an EP on the way. Little did we know that the EP was not just on the way, but imminent (it came out yesterday actually) and that the duo would be sharing the final track from it quick smart. Yet here we are with an EP to download and “Silhouette” to stream (below).

Like its predecessors, “Silhouette” is a sweet 80s infused synthpop delight. Where it differs from “The Glow” for example is that here we are being treated to something a little more sultry and seductive. We’re still at an 80s disco but the night is getting on, the lights are getting lower and bodies are slinking ever closer, arms entwining and hips swaying together. It’s not quite the last track of the night, preparing to move the party to a more intimate and secluded setting sort of vibe, but there is something undeniably sexy about it as Jen sings, “move with me / close to me / I want your shadow”.

Monogem’s eponymous EP is out now and available to buy from iTunes and you can stream it here.
