So it starts. We predicted big things this year for The Good Natured as one of our acts to Listen Out For and after the release of their adrenaline fuelled 5-HT EP in recent weeks, they are back again with another new track and, whisper it, debut album details.
Their first full length release will be called Prism and while a release date is still to be announced, indications are it will be one hell of a ride. New track (number 5 on the album we believe) “Lovers”, which you can stream and download for free below – at least until the limit is reached anyway, is a sexually charged piece of high octane pop, the likes of which we have come to know and love from the band in recent years.
“You and I could be lovers/but you and I will never be in love” sings Sarah, prompting memories of Crystal Castles amazing Robert Smith featuring dark-pop, anti-love song, “I’m Not In Love”. It is evocative, provocative and addictive but certainly not submissive. “Come on boy, I’m taking over/Time to play my game/Come on boy, it won’t be over/Until you say my name”. Seems like Sarah has donned her domineering hot-pants for this one and we’re pretty sure there won’t be any complaints.
