As the time passes by (5 hours left now) it is becoming more difficult to come up with decent introductions to blog posts. So, we’ll just pretend that this was a really good intro and skip ahead to the music of Pedro Rousseau, aka Fresh Body Shop.
Pedro has been recording and playing as FBS in France for a number of years now but evidentially it’s only recently that he and his band have gone full electro pop. Since which they have found greater success than ever and started to get recognition across the seas in the UK and US.
It’s understandable as Fresh Body Shop have an instantly accessible and enjoyable sound with “Wings” a jaunty walk along the street, the tempo perfect for a bright and jovial sound and the (sort of Beatles/McCartney sounding) melody blended perfectly like a gorgeous cup of tea.
“Turn The Lights On” is more electronic but equally bouncy and full of verve and vigour, it’s a bright primary coloured pick me up for tired limbs and minds.
Perfect after 19 hours of a charity blogathon.
